Here is a sample itinerary for Ottawa, just to give you an idea of what your customized group experience could look like. It can be shortened to three days or extended to five days or combined with other cities to create a truly unique experience all your own. Your excursion can include any attractions not seen here. Day 1: Travel to Kingston. Bellevue House this was the home of Sir John A. MacDonald, Canada’s first Prime Minister. Travel to Ottawa. Free time at the ByWard Market the living heart of Ottawa’s oldest commercial district. Vendor’s stalls sell everything from honey to flowers. Boutiques and restaurants abound.
Day 2: Included Continental Breakfast at the Hotel. Visit Nepean Point which lies just behind the National Gallery and high above the edge of the Ottawa River. This is a great spot to photograph Ottawa! National Gallery of Canada has a large and varied collection of paintings, drawings, sculpture and photographs. Although its focus is on Canadian art, it holds works by many noted European artists. Free time at the Sparks Street Mall which is the heritage storefronts of Canada’s oldest pedestrian mall bear witness to the long history of one of the Capital’s premier shopping streets. RCMP Musical Ride Centre here you will meet the majestic horses and be charmed by their beauty and friendly temperaments. We will tour the stables where the training begins and stop by the riding school to see some challenging and mesmerizing choreography. Evening Boat Cruise on Paul’s Boat Lines. On this boat cruise you can see Ottawa and Hull’s skyline from another perspective. You can also see the Parliament Buildings and Museum of Civilization from the river.
Day 3: Included Continental Breakfast at the Hotel. Guided Tour of Rideau Hall, the official residence of the Governor-General since 1867 and has been the residence of the Queen’s representative in Canada and home away from home for visiting dignitaries. Parliamentary Tour lets you explore portions of our Canadian law making process. The various areas and their functions are explained. Visit the Peace Tower which was so named to honour the thousands of Canadian men and women who sacrificed their lives for their country in World War I. Free time at the Rideau Center which is Ottawa’s largest shopping mall located right downtown on the banks of the Rideau Canal. Canadian Museum of History where you will discover the wealth of Canada’s culture as you travel across 1,000 years of history through life-size reconstructions. Get acquainted with some of the remarkable individuals who have shaped our nation, and explore the traditions and achievements of its First Peoples. You evening is free to explore what Ottawa has to offer!
Day 4: Included Continental Breakfast at the Hotel. Canadian War Museum through its storyline it will depict how Canada’s military history has influenced the development of the country both at home and on the world stage. It will use a variety of interactive techniques, personal stories and geographical references to guide visitors through a deeper understanding of Canada’s military past. Free time at the Bayshore Mall which has several types of food eateries from fast food to quality restaurants as well as a variety of shops and boutiques. Travel home from Ottawa.
