BOSTON & SALEM

 

Balancing the quiet reverence of its historical past with the bustling noise of its commercial present, Boston is rich in culture that spans the timeline of America. Enjoy this Massachusetts capital by strolling through the neighborhoods, visiting a few of the numerous colleges in and around the city, or wandering along the Freedom Trail. Each neighborhood that makes up this unique city has its own charm and attractions, so stay for a while and experience them all.

 

Here is a sample itinerary for Boston, just to give you an idea of what your customized group experience could look like. It can be shortened to four days or extended to six days or combined with other cities to create a truly unique experience all your own. Your excursion can include any attractions not seen here. If Boston has it, we can make sure you see it!

 

Day 1: Travel to Boston. Stop at the Duty Free Shop en route.

 

Day 2: Included Deluxe Continental Breakfast at the Hotel. We will start our day with a three hour narrated whale watch cruise. You will have a 90% chance of seeing whales! Then off the New England Aquarium which has over 600 marine animals. There are 70 exhibits in the galleries including a large penguin colony and a newly renovated tidewater pool exhibit entitled Edge of the Sea. Dinner and free time at the Quincy Market or Faneuil Hall Marketplace, it's the site of one of America's most famous shopping and dining experiences. Here, you can see, taste, and touch a true Boston experience!

 

Day 3: Included Deluxe Continental Breakfast at the Hotel. Travel to Salem and visit the Salem Witch Museum which brings you there, back to Salem 1692. Free time in Salem, this colorful, coastal city has much to offer visitors. We will visit the House of the Seven Gables the Turner- Ingersoll Mansion (built in 1668) and was the inspiration for Nathaniel Hawthorne’s novel. A Guided Tour of Harvard University which is America's oldest University. Followed by free time in Cambridge, the spirited, slightly mischievous side of Boston. Cambridge is a city where a counter-culture lives, classic culture thrives and multi-culture is a way of life. We will finish the day with dinner and free time at Copley Place which is a shopper’s dream. It contains galleries on two levels stretching a whole city block with over 100 retail stores, boutiques and restaurants.

 

Day 4: Included Deluxe Continental Breakfast at the Hotel. We will start with stop at the John F Kennedy Presidential Library, one of 7 presidential libraries in the United States. This museum portrays the life, legacy and leadership of President Kennedy. Our afternoon will be spent walking the Famous Freedom Trail which includes 16 stops. We will start out our adventure at the Charleston Ship Yards and the USS Constitution. Dinner and free time and the Prudential Center where there is a multitude of trendy stores and restaurants. Our last night in Boston will be spent at the Prudential Tower Skywalk Observatory, which sits majestically 50 floors above the city of Boston. The Observatory offers breathtaking panoramic views of Boston and beyond. What better way to end a fantastic time!

 

Day 5: Included Deluxe Continental Breakfast at the Hotel. Travel home from Boston.
